The L0 Series is a Japanese maglev train developed by the Central Japan Railway Company. This train holds the land speed record at 603 km/h (375 mph) This train will start it's commercial operation on the Tokyo and Osaka. The operational speed will be 505 km/h (314 mph) and it will take only 40 minutes to go from Tokyo to Nagoya. The  first section to Nagoya is expected to be ready by 2027 . On 16 April 2015, a manned seven-car L0 series trainset reached a speed of 590 km/h (370 mph), breaking the previous world record of 581 km/h (361 mph) set by a Japanese MLX01 maglev trainset in December 2003.  KEEP SUPPORTING US FRIENDS

A new type of transistor

Image
SOLUTION FOR NEXT GENERATION NANOCHIPS COMES OUT OF THIN AIR.    Instead of sending electrical currents through silicon, it sends electrons through narrow air gaps, where they can travel unimpeded as if in space. The device eliminates the use of a semiconductor, making it faster and less prone to heating up.  “Every computer and phone has millions to billions of electronic transistors made from  silicon, but this technology is reaching its physical limits where the silicon atoms get in the way  of the current flow, limiting speed and causing heat,” lead author Shruti Nirantar said.  “ Our air  channel transistor technology has the current flowing through air, so there are no collisions to  slow it down and no resistance in the material to produce heat .”  The design solved a flaw in traditional solid channel transistors – they are packed with atoms, according to the team. This means electrons passing through them collide, sl...

Why Captcha has turned into checkboxes??

Image
A CAPTCHA is a type of challenge–response test used in computing to determine whether or not the user is human. The term was coined in 2003 by Luis von Ahn, Manuel Blum, Nicholas J. Hopper, and John Langford. The most common type of CAPTCHA was first invented in 1997 by two groups working in parallel But google bots are 96% accurate in decoding these Captchas So google introduced a new alternate to captcha. i.e,,Re-Captcha In 2017, Google improved this mechanism, calling it an "invisible reCAPTCHA". According to former Google "click fraud czar"  Shuman Ghosemajumder , this capability "creates a new sort of challenge that very advanced bots can still get around, but introduces a lot less friction to the legitimate human. That is the check box you find in some sites..!!

Facts about HACKING

Hackers creating approximately 230,000 new malware samples/day.  Although more resources are being deployed to counter cyber attacks, the nature of the industry still has a long way to go before we can, as a whole, catch up with these threats. SOME   FACTS ABOUT HACKING: 1.43% of cyber attacks target small business 64% of companies have experienced web-based attacks.  62% experienced phishing & social engineering attacks. 59% of companies experienced malicious code and botnets and 51% experienced denial of service attacks. 2.Since 2013 there are 3,809,448 records stolen from breaches every day 158,727 per hour, 2,645 per minute and 44 every second of every day reports Cybersecurity Ventures. 3.Over 75% of health care industry has been infected with malware over last year. The study examined 700 healthcare organizations including medical treatme...

what is photodna?

Image
PhotoDNA  is a technology developed by  Microsoft  and improved by  Hany Farid  of  Dartmouth College  that computes  hash  values of images, video and audio files to identify similar images. [1]  PhotoDNA is primarily used in the prevention of child pornography, and works by computing a unique hash that represents the image. This hash is computed such that it is resistant to alterations in the image, including resizing and minor color alterations. [1]  It works by converting the image to black and white, resizing it, breaking it into a grid, and looking at intensity gradients or edges. [2] It is used with Microsoft's own services  Bing  and  OneDrive , [3]  as well as by  Google Gmail ,  Twitter , [4]   Facebook , [5]   Adobe Systems [6]  and the  National Center for Missing & Exploited Children , [7]  to whom Microsoft donated the technology.
